THOMAS E. DEVILLIERThomas Devillier is a senior associate residing in our Baton Rouge office. He practices in a broad range of areas, but his principal focus is in government relations and legislative affairs. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Devillier started his career at the First Circuit Court of Appeals and subsequently joined the Louisiana House of Representatives serving as an attorney for the Commerce Committee. He specialized predominantly in occupational and professional licensing, consumer protection against unfair trade practices, and the regulation of certain commercial industries, including financial institutions, telecommunications, real estate, and motor vehicles.

Mr. Devillier received a Bachelor’s in History from Louisiana State University in 2005 and his Juris Doctor and Bachelor’s in Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2008. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.
