Daigle, Fisse & Kessenich Attorney Prevails in Jury Trial (2013)
Daigle, Fisse & Kessenich attorneys James L. Bradford and D. Stephen Brouillette, Jr. were retained by the Louisiana Department of Development and Transportation to defend against claims for additional just compensation in an expropriation lawsuit filed in the 20th Judicial District Court for the Parish of West Feliciana. Following a two-day jury trial in May 2013, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the DOTD on all issues, rejecting completely the landowners’ claims for additional compensation. The jury verdict was affirmed by the First Circuit Court of Appeals in January 2015.
