Rebecca Escoto is an associate attorney practicing in our Baton Rouge office. She joined our firm in the fall of 2023. She represents clients in matters involving administrative law, civil litigation, employment disputes, and matters before administrative agencies. Ms. Escoto received her bachelor’s degree in political science in 2017, with a minor in psychology, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Thereafter, she attended Southern University Law Center. While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Escoto worked as a law clerk at the Attorney General’s Office in the Special Litigation section. Ms. Escoto also received a summer clerkship working alongside Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Robert Chevallier, for St. Martin Parish. Ms. Escoto was also a member of the Pro Bono Project, Women in Law, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. At Daigle, Fisse and Kessenich, Ms. Escoto advises occupational licensing boards such as the Louisiana Board of Social Work Examiners, Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology, and the Louisiana State Board of Massage Therapy on administrative law, rule promulgation, and administrative proceedings. Prior to joining Daigle, Fisse and Kessenich, Ms. Escoto was an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Division. In her role as an Assistant Attorney General, Ms. Escoto represented state qualified healthcare providers and healthcare facilities. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state district and appellate courts. She is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge.
